Christopher Monk - Bass

With MCS - Mozart Mass in C Minor, 11th November 2006

Christopher began his singing career as a Chorister at St. Mary's Choir School in Reigate; later, while completing his Music Degree at Edinburgh University he was a Choral Scholar at St. Mary's Episcopal Cathedral in that city.  Subsequently he has taken Lay Clerkships with Gloucester Cathedral and the choir of The Abbey School, Tewkesbury.  He also regularly deputises in the Cathedral choirs at Bristol, Worcester and Gloucester.  His most recent solo engagements have included Coleridge-Taylor's Hiawatha's Departure for the Tyndale Choral Society, Vaughan Williams' Five Mystical Songs for Bromsgrove Choral Society, the Last Seven Words of Christ by Dubois with the choir of Tewkesbury Abbey, and Beethoven's Mass in C for Cirencester Choral Society.
